Responsible for the daily operation, processing, monitoring, balancing, and support of the Banks core banking environment and related systems in accordance with established policies, procedures, and operating instructions. Ensures scheduled production processes, system updates, interfaces, file transmissions, backups, and related activities are completed accurately and timely, including processing performed while the Banks offices are closed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates, monitors, and supports the core banking system and related peripheral equipment and applications.
Tests and runs scheduled programs, backups, print jobs, file transmissions, and other production processes as assigned.
Monitors scheduled core banking production processes, interfaces, file transmissions, backups, and related jobs to ensure successful and timely completion.
Investigates processing exceptions and system issues, performs initial troubleshooting, and coordinates escalation with internal technology resources and third-party vendors as appropriate.
Ensures reports generated by the core banking system are accurate and efficiently distributed.
Coordinates with outside vendors regarding system failures, processing issues, repairs, and other technical matters, and reports significant issues, downtime, and resolution status to the supervisor.
Provides assistance to the branch network relating to electronic funds activity and other core banking processes.
Assists in all areas of electronic banking operations, functioning as a technical and procedural liaison among the remote banking center, data operations, internal departments, and third-party vendors.
Assists with testing and implementation of core system updates, enhancements, patches, interfaces, and other system changes in accordance with established change-management procedures and applicable operating policies and regulations.
Maintains accurate processing logs, balancing records, procedures, and other documentation necessary to support operational controls, audits, and regulatory examinations.
Facilitates teller receipt printer and check scanner repairs and inventory.
Balances TCM work for all branch locations.
Performs and monitors daily system updates and processes, identifies exceptions, and ensures appropriate follow-up and resolution.
Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery testing involving core banking systems and related applications.
Identifies opportunities to improve processing efficiency, reliability, controls, and documentation and communicates recommendations to management.
Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Communication Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
Computers/Technical Must have a thorough technical knowledge of computer systems, networks, database management, personal computers and applications.
Banking Knowledge of financial industry and bank dynamics, and a thorough knowledge of banks products and services, and bank security and transaction policies.
Bank Secrecy Act In the performance of all the respective tasks and duties, employee will maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security and bank policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or 2 years work related experienceIT background preferred.

In the performance of respective tasks and duties, the employee is expected to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
