JOB POSITION
Internet Technology Coordinator
REPORTS TO
Building Principal / Head of School The Fernandina Beach Christian Academy (FBCA), located on Amelia Island in Northwest Florida, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Internet Technology Coordinator for the 2026/2027 school year. This position is a full-time, salaried and exempt ministry position. Upon administrative review, select candidates will be contacted for scheduling an introductory interview. Position Overview:
The Technology Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and support of the school's technology infrastructure and instructional technology resources. This position provides technical support primarily for staff while promoting the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. The Technology Coordinator manages devices, networks, software, security, and technology systems to create a reliable, secure, and innovative learning environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Infrastructure Maintain and troubleshoot school tech infrastructure.(computers, Chromebooks, printers, projectors, interactive displays, etc…) Support wired and wireless network connectivity and coordinate with third-party vendors as needed. Monitor system performance and proactively address technology issues. Maintain technology inventory, asset tracking, warranties, and replacement schedules. Install, configure, update, and repair hardware and software. Help Desk & Technical Support Provide timely technical support to faculty, staff, and students. Respond to technology help requests using a ticketing procedure. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and account issues. Set up technology for classrooms, meetings, testing, and school events. Prepare and deploy devices for new staff and students. Student & Staff Technology Manage student/staff accounts w/in Google Workspace Education and other instructional platforms. Assist with password management and account security. Configure and manage student Chromebooks/staff devices.. Support classroom technology to minimize instructional disruptions. Instructional Technology Support teachers to integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction. Provide training and coaching on instructional technology tools and digital resources. Stay current on emerging educational technologies and recommend innovative solutions. Assist teachers in utilizing technology to enhance student engagement and learning. Cybersecurity & Data Management Promote best practices for cybersecurity and digital citizenship. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Manage user permissions and data security. Assist with data backups and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor and respond to technology security concerns. Assessment & Educational Software Support technology needs for assessments. Coordinate testing device preparation and troubleshooting. Manage educational software licenses and subscriptions. Maintain integrations between instructional platforms and student information systems. Planning & Operations Assist in developing and implementing the school's technology plan. Recommend technology purchases and budget priorities. Research and evaluate hardware, software, and instructional technology resources. Maintain documentation for technology procedures and inventory. Other Duties Support audiovisual equipment for assemblies, presentations, and special events. Coordinate with vendors regarding repairs, warranties, and installations. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

Work Schedule The IT Coordinator position requires onsite presence each day that students and/or staff are scheduled to be onsite during the school year (185 days August-May). Scheduled "off days": Labor Day, Thanksgiving (1 week), Presidents Day, Christmas (2 weeks), Spring Break (1 week), Good Friday, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Summer Break (8 weeks) Additional days/hours as needed on weekends, evenings and "off days" for device updating, maintenance, etc…. "Off Day" work is expected on an as-needed-basis to ensure the uninterrupted and effective operation of technology infrastructure and instructional technology resources. Desired Qualifications Possess the technology experience/education to efficiently and immediately perform position tasks. Experience supporting Windows, ChromeOS, macOS, and Google Workspace. Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking. Experience managing Chromebooks and mobile device management systems. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced school environment.

Salary:
$50,000 annually. Paid Time Off - 12 weeks "Off Days" and 10 "Emergency PTO" days.
Ministry Service Dates:
August 3, 2026 through May 23, 2027. Employee must pass required background checks. Employee must be active in a church aligned with FBCA Statement of Faith Employee must uphold the FBCA Statement of Faith, mission, and values.
