Manufacturing Automation Developer Overview Right Rope is a fast-growing, continuous-improvement-minded rope manufacturing company, passionate about making the highest quality rope in the world. As we grow, we are looking for motivated, conscientious people to join our team and help create products that serve a variety of exciting industries. You would be leading the design, fabrication, and implementation of innovative machines and optimizations in the manufacturing facility. We produce rope for arborists, boating and marine applications, electrical contractors, search and rescue operations, industrial rigging and lifting, recreation, camping and much more. Your passion for developing machines to improve product quality, decrease waste, and increase production efficiency will make this a rewarding position. You would work closely with the leadership team to establish goals, ideate, and problem solve while you exercise a high level of autonomy over the design and building process. Responsibilities You will lead the process of designing, building, and implementing custom machines and optimization solutions in a rope manufacturing facility. Your goal is to increase efficiency, decrease waste, and improve product quality. Your work would include collaborating with the leadership team on projects / goals / objectives, then masterminding, planning and building machines and optimizations to meet company objectives. As this is a new position, in a department that's still in start-up mode for operations, the Manufacturing Automation Developer should be eager to help create and implement effective innovations for work-flow efficiency and product improvement. Having an obsession for continuous improvement will drive results and allow for business growth and professional growth. Being mechanically inclined and bent towards hands-on problem solving will be needed for you to be successful in this role. Previous experience with design, engineering, automation, and fabrication is a requirement for this role. Our manufacturing division is rapidly growing, building new warehouse space, and taking on new manufacturing processes regularly. This continuous expansion provides a basis for needed automation development well into the future.
