$100,000 - $130,000Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Low Voltage / Building Automation Specialist to design, install, program, commission and maintain low-voltage controls and building automation systems for commercial, industrial and data center projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician/engineer with a strong background in low-voltage systems, controls integration and field commissioning.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, program, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) and low-voltage control systems for HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and critical facility infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and optimize controllers, PLCs, sensors, HMIs, and networked devices using platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, and similar systems.
Perform system commissioning, functional testing, startup support, and validation of control sequences to ensure reliable operation.
Integrate BAS with HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and other third-party systems to support centralized monitoring and control.
Support system design reviews, wiring documentation, and as-built drawings for new construction and retrofit projects.
Diagnose and resolve controls, networking, and automation issues while providing preventative maintenance and system improvements.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and facility teams to deliver successful installations and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and client requirements while maintaining accurate project documentation.
Qualifications4+ years of experience supporting low-voltage systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS) in commercial, industrial, or data center environments.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, controllers, sensors, and field devices.
Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining BAS and control networks.
Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLCs preferred.
Familiarity with Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Automated Logic, or similar BAS platforms.
Knowledge of HVAC controls, lighting controls, and power monitoring systems.
Understanding of SCADA, industrial controls, and automation principles.
