• $220k base Overview As the Workday SME and Governance Owner, you'll serve as the enterprise technical authority across all Workday modules, ensuring our platform remains secure, compliant, and architecturally optimized.

You'll lead critical governance processes, oversee environment management, and provide expert configuration support for complex cross-functional initiatives—all while mentoring your team and collaborating with HRIT engineers and security partners. Key Responsibilities Act as the senior technical authority for all Workday modules, advising on complex configuration, integration, and release management. Configure and support advanced security frameworks, eligibility rules, and cross-departmental business processes. Lead tenant management efforts, including environment planning, sandbox refreshes, change approvals, and release cycles. Oversee all governance activities, establishing standards for change management, audit compliance, and security protocols. Chair the Workday Change Advisory Board, ensuring thorough review and smooth implementation of upgrades and enhancements. Partner with security and audit teams to monitor and remediate access controls and segregation of duties issues. Must-Have Qualifications 7-10 years of HRIS experience, with 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration expertise. Workday Pro Certifications across all major modules. Deep knowledge of Position and Job Management, security architecture, and SOD audit controls. Experience operating within a multi-tenant governance environment. Nice-to-Have Skills Expertise in integrations, APIs, and advanced configuration design. Strong leadership in change management and vendor collaboration.
