Reports to the IT Director of Helpdesk and Endpoint Management
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is an on-premises position requiring the candidate to work from our East Greenwich RI Campus (may require travel to Access Road or Post Road Campuses as needed). The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree or equivalent in Computer technology or related field with a minimum of 3-4 years of PC / Microsoft Windows based systems, Microsoft Desktop Technician Certification (MCTS) preferred but not necessary. Technical Analyst will deliver the highest level of customer service and support to our end-users.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support internal PC / Microsoft Windows users with: desktop applications; Windows and Mac operating systems; custom internal software, network.
Interact successfully with clients, deliver excellent and efficient customer service
Expert at diagnosing and fixing all Windows hardware including iOS devices
Experience with the Macintosh and Windows environment as it relates to the media and the learning classroom is preferred
Solid Understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems Distribute, set-up, break-down, operate, and oversee the use of audio-visual equipment including data projection, computers, and additional multimedia equipment for classrooms, event spaces, and conference rooms.
Set up and test all technology components prior to event / classes for video recording and / or projection. Quickly identify and correct technical issues prior to the start of an event.
Respond to unique situations with highly developed problem resolution skills and work independently
Position may include evenings and weekend hours
Some use of personal vehicle
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows 11
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites and Microsoft Deployment Solution
Application scripting
Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Solution
Knowledge of VMware Fusion, Bootcamp and Winclone
Knowledge of Anti-Virus platforms
OSX Server and MS image creation and automation
Knowledge of Apple and Android hardware: and
MAC OS X
Knowledge of ipTV, Digital signage, Audio/Video technology is a plus Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to take direction and perform tasks with little to no supervision. English-language speaking and reading skills sufficient to communicate by phone and in person to internal and external customers and read information on documents and files. English-language reading skills sufficient to read information on documents and files. Good organizational skills, excellent work ethics and commitment to reliable job attendance. Knowledge of contemporary office practices, procedures, and techniques. Spelling, vocabulary, math, and grammar skills appropriate to the level of the position. Ability to operate a computer and various software packages. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Ability to identify student needs and match them with available resources Able to create, organize and keep records. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to meet college expectations regarding customer service. Ability to provide effective and responsive service to department customers and contacts.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Associate degree or equivalent in Computer technology or other related field with a minimum of 3-4 years of PC / Microsoft Windows based systems, Microsoft Desktop Technician Certification (MCTS) preferred but not necessary.
