Dell USA L.P. seeks a User Interface Senior Engineer in Round Rock, TX (can work remotely), to be responsiblefor complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for the first-time users as well as experts. Work with teams and other designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers throughout the design process, i.e. from conducting and participating in discovery framing activities to creating wireframes to build user interface mockups and prototypes. Advocate for users needs and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them. Provide a mix of visual aesthetic with an ability to understand how to make a complex product or service feel simple and intuitive. Represent UX design within a cross-functional team. Facilitate discovery, conception and execution of global design solutions. Develop the approach for tackling a design problem. Practice human-centered design methodologies. Partner and collaborate with researchers, engineers, designers, product owners, and business stakeholders on all initiatives. Evolve and evangelize our design system.
Requirements:
Masters degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Information Technology, or related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, UX Engineer, or related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Information Technology, or related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, UX Engineer, or related occupation.
Experience must include:
User-centered design working on shippable products, including RWD, mobile, or web applications; Produce high quality design artifacts; Design tools such as Figma, Adobe XDM, Axure, or Photoshop; Design practices and processes; Communicating on decision-making rationale to team members with the usage of design best practices; Solving for product capabilities and user outcomes; Using and contributing to the design system; and design advocacy and business understanding.
