Job Description

A bus driver safely transports passengers along fixed routes,, or school schedules. Core duties involve pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, obeying traffic laws, managing passenger conduct. Candidates need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsements.

Key Responsibilities Vehicle Safety:

Conduct pre- and post-trip checks on tires, lights, brakes, and fluid levels.

Route Management:

Follow strict time schedules and navigate local or intercity traffic.

Passenger Control:

Monitor behavior, enforce safety rules, and handle emergency situations.

Communication:

Report delays, accidents, or road hazards to dispatch via two-way radio.

Requirements and Qualifications Licensing:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements (if applicable).

Driving Record:

Clean history with minimal traffic violations.

Physical Standards:

Meet state medical, hearing, and vision requirements and pass drug testing.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
