As a bus driver, you will safely operate passenger vehicles to transport clients ensuring a smooth, comfortable, and secure journey for all passengers. Your dedication to safety, excellent customer service, and adherence to traffic laws will help create positive experiences on the road every day. Applicant must be 21+, have a clean driving record, have completed high school or GED, and be able to pass all background and drug screenings. Duties Safely operate buses and transit vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including providing wheelchair assistance and supporting individuals with mobility challenges. Ensure passenger safety by enforcing behavior management policies and maintaining order during trips. Respond quickly to traffic changes, road conditions, or emergencies by applying defensive driving techniques and emergency response procedures for transportation. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues; report any concerns promptly. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with passengers, addressing questions, and ensuring a positive experience. Follow school policies or transit protocols related to student discipline or senior care as applicable.
