Responsibilities Safely operate buses for school, paratransit, senior care, or community transport routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness Communicate clearly with passengers using effective language skills, including bilingual or multilingual abilities when applicable Manage behavior and ensure passenger safety through respectful behavior management techniques Assist children, seniors, or individuals with special needs with boarding and disembarking, providing compassionate childcare or senior care as needed Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and safety checks; complete incident reports when necessary Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions and ensuring a comfortable ride experience Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving or bus operation Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles; familiarity with school bus driving or paratransit services is preferred Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse communities Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals requiring special assistance demonstrates compassionate caregiving skills Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain safe and orderly passenger environments Must meet all state licensing requirements for drivers or equivalent certifications where applicable Embark on a rewarding career that keeps communities moving! $250.00 - $260.00 per day
