Since 1920, our traditional summer camps have been at the forefront of resident camping and have served as a summer home to hundreds of campers, staff, and alumni. We are looking for a highly experienced, qualified school bus driver to transport campers and staff throughout the summer. This position is responsible for the safe operation of the assigned school bus and/or other vehicles ensuring the safety of the passengers. We are looking for a motivated, responsible, dependable, caring, and punctual driver with a commitment to safety to join our team.

Responsibilities include:
Ensure safety of all passengers during transport by adhering to traffic laws and camp policies and guidelines. Transport campers and staff to and from field trips, tournaments, and other various day/evening off locations. Provide a positive and friendly atmosphere for campers and/or staff during transportation. Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times and report any issues or incidents promptly to supervisor. Refuel buses on a regular basis. Knowledge to conduct pre check inspection of the vehicle to ensure in safe operating condition. Able to adhere to routes and schedules in a safe and timely manner. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend driving to accommodate the camp schedule.
Qualifications/Skills:
current CDL license with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements min. 2 yrs. current experience driving a school bus transporting children current federal DOT medical examination possession of a clean driving record strong knowledge of traffic laws and driving safety practices and knowledge of the rules/guidelines involved in driving a school bus ability to follow written and verbal instructions ability to respond to emergency situations and have the visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to activity ability to interact well with children strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while driving Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 20 lbs Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, walk, stand, climb, reach, and sit for long periods Close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
Dates :
mid June through mid August Employment Benefits for LIVE-IN position: $1200 per week Completion bonus if living on-site for the summer. Travel stipend Room, board & laundry services are provided. Nights off and days off are scheduled throughout the summer. Wifi internet access. Opportunity exists for local school bus drivers, living off-site, to apply for this position.
Salary:
$1200 p/week with flexible shifts including late evenings and some weekends.
