Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Campus Bus Driver to transport students, staff, and visitors safely on campus and surrounding routes. The driver will operate passenger buses, follow assigned routes, assist passengers, maintain compliance with transportation regulations, and support a safe and secure campus environment. Required Qualifications Must have a valid CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement. Must meet applicable DOT and state transportation requirements. Safe driving record and strong defensive-driving skills. Ability to pass required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ability to assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and mobility needs. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to operate a bus safely in traffic and adverse weather conditions. Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance. Ability to maintain accurate trip, inspection, fuel, and passenger records. Previous bus, shuttle, school bus, motor coach, van, delivery, or commercial driving experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Safely operate campus buses and passenger vehicles on assigned routes. Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report mechanical problems. Follow DOT, state, campus, and company transportation policies. Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges. Maintain passenger safety through defensive driving and proper safety procedures. May provide support to campus security and safety operations as needed, including reporting safety concerns, incidents, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel. Assist with maintaining a safe and secure transportation environment for students, staff, and visitors. Complete required driving, inspection, fuel, and passenger documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle. Provide courteous and professional service to students, staff, and visitors. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a school, campus, transit, paratransit, or passenger transportation environment. Experience operating vehicles equipped with air brakes. Knowledge of local streets and surrounding areas. Experience working in an environment where safety and security are priorities. Certification Requirement CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement is
