Overview Quintara Biosciences is seeking a dependable and responsible part-time pickup courier to collect packages from designated dropboxes located across the Yale campus and nearby locations in New Haven, Connecticut. Service Area The position serves Yale University and nearby New Haven locations. Specific pickup locations and route instructions will be provided by the company: Yale University, New Haven, CT The complete route may include multiple Yale campus buildings and nearby locations in New Haven. Specific pickup locations and route instructions will be provided by the company. Work Schedule Monday through Friday and Sunday Scheduled hours: Monday-Friday, 4:30 PM-6:00 PM; Sunday, 2:30 PM-4:00 PM Each scheduled route normally takes 1.5 hours Approximately 1.5 scheduled hours per shift and 9 hours per week Minimum three-month commitment required Transportation A personal vehicle is required to travel between service areas. After parking near each location, the courier must walk to the designated dropbox. The route includes walking within the Yale campus and to nearby locations after parking. Active package pickup work is expected to take approximately one hour per day. The scheduled time also accounts for parking, walking, and normal route-related delays. Reliable access to a personal vehicle is required Mileage, fuel, parking, and other vehicle-related expenses are not reimbursed Responsibilities Arrive on time and complete the assigned pickup route each weekday Park appropriately near designated locations, enter assigned buildings, and collect packages from designated dropboxes Handle and transport all collected items carefully and securely Confirm completion of each pickup Use required work-related mobile applications to receive route information, confirm pickups, upload photos or status updates, and report issues Promptly report missing packages, access problems, delays, or other issues and communicate professionally with the supervisor Deliver outgoing packages to UPS when assigned Inspect dropboxes and assist with basic maintenance, cleaning, and supply replacement when needed Distribute flyers or informational materials at assigned locations Perform other related local pickup and dropbox-support duties as needed Qualifications Dependable, punctual, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Consistently available Monday-Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Able to commit to the position for at least three months Able to follow instructions, park appropriately, and comfortably locate designated dropboxes in multiple campus buildings and nearby locations Have reliable access to a personal vehicle and be able to walk from parking areas to designated dropboxes Able to carry and handle light packages carefully and professionally Have reliable access to a smartphone capable of running required work-related applications, with the ability to independently use those apps for route instructions, pickup confirmations, photos, messaging, and issue reporting Applicants who live, work, or study near Yale University or New Haven are preferred Existing authorized access to applicable Yale buildings is preferred but not required Attendance and Schedule Coverage Please notify your supervisor as early as possible if you are unable to work as scheduled. You may suggest an authorized team member for coverage, but all coverage arrangements must be approved by the supervisor in advance.

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
