Job Description
Responsible for delivering excellent customer service while performing cashiering, food preparation, merchandising, stocking, cleaning, and routine facility upkeep, including reporting safety, maintenance, andequipment issues to management. Responsible for collecting payments from patrons frequenting a gas station. Attendant accepts payments for gas, food, medicine, cigarettes, or alcohol and delivering change. Primary Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Collecting money from patrons at a gas station
- Stocking and rotating product in gondolas and coolers
- Dispensing change
- Upselling
- Filling up gas tanks if asked
- Dispensing lottery tickets
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Providing customers with receipts
- Charging purchases to customers' debit and credit cards
- Verifying age of customer if they are purchasing age restricted products
- Counting lottery scratchers and cigarettes
- Answering customer questions and provide directions if needed
- Activating fuel pumps
- Selling food and grocery items
- Operating car washes
- Conducting end of day procedures
- Preparing and selling food, including donuts, hamburgers, and hotdogs
- Printing daily reports of fuel and oil
- Cleaning gas station bathrooms
- Counting money in cash drawers
- Dropping money into the safe
- Operating price scanners
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Calling police to report suspicious activity in and around gas station
