Use GPS navigation systems effectively to follow designated routes and optimize travel times. Assist clients with boarding and disembarking vehicles, providing courteous support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate clearly with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays while maintaining professional client interactions. Handle manual lifting of mobility aids or luggage when necessary, ensuring proper body mechanics to prevent injury. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and client details for record-keeping purposes. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses is highly preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes enhances efficiency in route planning. Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services demonstrates understanding of client needs and safety protocols. Knowledge of state transportation regulations and adherence to traffic laws is essential for compliance and safety. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients are vital for success in this role. Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required when assisting clients or managing equipment. Maintenance skills help ensure vehicle reliability and safety standards are consistently met.
