Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-urgent medical travel. In this energetic role, you will operate passenger vehicles to ensure clients reach their appointments comfortably and on time. Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles for local medical transportation routes. Assist clients with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous and respectful customer service at all times. Follow GPS navigation and route planning to ensure timely arrivals at scheduled destinations. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure safety standards are met. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and health protocols during all driving activities. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or changes in schedule. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate various types of passenger vehicles such as vans. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes to optimize efficiency. Knowledge of state transportation regulations and compliance requirements related to passenger vehicle operation. Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Strong communication skills for client interaction and coordination with dispatch teams. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage manual handling tasks associated with transporting mobility devices or luggage. $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
