Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals with medical needs. In this role, you will operate passenger vehicles, including vans and shuttle buses, ensuring timely and courteous transportation for clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Your dedication will help improve the quality of life for those who depend on accessible transportation options every day. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vans,and other client vehicles along designated local routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing friendly customer service and ensuring comfort throughout the journey. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and client interactions in compliance with state transportation regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm appointments, provide route updates, and address any special needs or concerns. Follow all safety protocols related to manual handling of mobility aids or heavy luggage when assisting passengers. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the company positively within the community. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a delivery driver or bus driver is highly preferred. Proven experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses; familiarity with passenger van operation is a plus. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling mobility equipment safely. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, healthcare providers, and team members. Knowledge of local driving routes and adherence to all state transportation regulations governing medical transportation services. Prior experience in medical transportation or chauffeur driving is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
