Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and dependable Temporary Medical Appointment Runner to support our healthcare team by efficiently transporting clients to and from medical appointments. This energetic role requires a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and safe transportation while providing excellent customer service. As a Temporary Medical Appointment Runner, you will play a vital part in helping patients access necessary healthcare services, contributing to their overall well-being and satisfaction. Experience as a Direct Support Professional is a plus! Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles or personal vehicles, or other authorized transportation modes to pick up clients and participate in the medical appointments to ensure quality care. Load and unload transportation equipment and assist with manual handling tasks, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and company policies while route driving. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and delivery details using mobile devices or other tracking tools. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly. Ensure vehicles are maintained properly, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately. Qualifications Experience working with clients with disabilities and DDA Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to operate vehicles safely Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally while handling medical documentation Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, scheduling, and reporting purposes. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks while following safe lifting practices; capable of moving loads efficiently using appropriate manual handling techniques. Experience with route driving involving multiple stops in urban or suburban settings is desirable.
