Compensation:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Reporting to and communicating directly with the Franchise Business Owner. Provide swim lessons to adults and children according to British Swim School curriculum. Training, supervising, developing, and retaining a dynamic team of swim instructors. Using instructor development tools, evaluate swim instructor performance and provide feedback and in-service training on a regular basis. Assisting Franchise Business Owner with retention, recruitment, hiring and interviews. Using BSS Instructor assessments to maintain lesson quality. Evaluating swim instructor performance and creating performance improvement plans as necessary. Offering guidance and support when managing difficult class situations. Anticipated expanded responsibilities to coincide with franchise expansion. Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by franchise owner. Be correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared pool-side at least 15 minutes before the start of first lesson. Answer all customer questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and resolve complaints and issues when necessary. Creation of employee schedules, and pool lesson schedules. Address and document employee, customer, and pool incidents that occur.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Must be comfortable in water (indoor pool 3-5ft) Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

An individual with a passion and love of the water who wants to give back to their community and be a part of drowning prevention. Supervisory experience in a similar setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
