Job Description

REACH Medical Holdings seeks a SPIFR Helicopter Pilot to support critical care air medical transport across California and the Western U.S. You will fly emergency and interfacility missions, working closely with flight nurses, paramedics, dispatch, and ground partners. Responsibilities include safe SPIFR operations in varied weather and terrain, rigorous pre-flight planning, SMS-driven risk assessment, and strict adherence to FAA and company standards. Responsibilities Operate SPIFR helicopter for emergency and interfacility air medical transport Perform safe, efficient flights in varied weather and terrain, day and night Coordinate closely with clinical crews, dispatch, and ground partners Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks Comply with FAA, company, and safety management system standards Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and check rides Support mission planning, risk assessment, and go/no-go decisions Maintain accurate flight, maintenance, and regulatory documentation Required Skills IFR helicopter operations Helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS/HAA) procedures Advanced aeronautical decision-making and risk management Instrument navigation and avionics proficiency Night and terrain-challenging flight operations FAA regulatory compliance and documentation Crew resource management (CRM) Weather interpretation and flight planning Emergency and abnormal procedures management Radio communications with ATC and EMS partners
