Job Description

REACH Medical Holdings seeks a Helicopter Pilot for SPIFR Helicopter Air Ambulance operations, providing critical care transport across California and the Western U.S. You will safely operate IFR-capable helicopters in diverse terrain and weather for emergency and interfacility missions. Working closely with medical crews, dispatch, and public safety partners, you'll follow strict FAA and company safety standards, maintain detailed flight records, and participate in ongoing training. This mission-driven role offers the opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes in high-acuity, time-sensitive situations. Responsibilities Safely operate SPIFR helicopter for HAA missions in varied weather and terrain Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure airworthiness and safety compliance Coordinate closely with medical crew, dispatch, and ground agencies during emergency and interfacility transports Adhere to FAA regulations, company SOPs, and risk management practices Maintain accurate flight logs, reports, and operational documentation Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and safety drills Support a safety-first, mission-focused culture and effective crew resource management Respond rapidly to time-critical calls, including nights, weekends, and holidays Required Skills Helicopter flight operations (SPIFR) Instrument flight procedures (IFR) Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations Crew Resource Management (CRM) Emergency and night operations (including NVG) Flight planning and navigation FAA regulatory compliance and safety management Radio communications with ATC and EMS partners Aircraft systems and pre/post-flight inspections Operational decision-making under pressure
