Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current valid driver's license to operate the transportation vehicles for the ADC
• Demonstrates sensitivity to participants needs and safety measures
• Training in First Aid and CPR
• Experience in assisting participants with impairments
• Compliance with all state requirements for licensure certification
• Training in basic transfer techniques and safe ambulation
• Must abide by State and Local laws
• Must not have had drivers license suspended or revoked for moving traffic violations in the past 5 years
• (Drivers who receive citations and are convicted of two moving violations or accidents related to transportation will not be permitted to provide transportation.

Responsibilities and Functions:

• Responsible for transportation to and from the facility and provide escort services as needed to ensure safety measures are carried out while transporting participants
• Responsible for reporting behavioral changes or unusual incidents while participants are in their care
• Responsible for keeping accurate time records as to when participants are picked up and drop off
• Responsible for adhering to Policy and Procedures set forth by New Beginnings
• Responsible for helping serve meals, assisting with participant's activities
• Responsible for helping participants to and from the restroom and assist with incontinent episodes
• Responsible for keeping vehicles clean and neat daily
• Responsible for performing vehicle maintenance checks weekly and reporting on the appropriate forms noting any problems that needs attention and given to the Administrator
• Transportation routes shall be adhered to daily. Paperwork should reflect proper documentation regarding the status of each participant.
• Other duties as assigned deemed necessary
