In this role, you will be responsible for safely and effectively removing, transporting, and delivering items across various locations. Your proactive approach and excellent driving skills will ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a variety of vehicles including shuttle buses, delivery vans, and personal vehicles to transport items or passengers Load, secure, and unload items with proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage or injury Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies during transit to ensure compliance and safety Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing proper equipment and techniques to protect yourself and others Provide outstanding customer service by communicating clearly with clients and addressing their needs professionally Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle inspections for accountability Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles involving commercial or passenger transport Strong knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety protocols for heavy vehicles and passenger carriers Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and management Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy loads efficiently Experience with maintenance routines for vehicles to identify issues early and ensure operational readiness Familiarity with paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license), with a clean driving record Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and routes while maintaining a positive attitude
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour
