Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles, vans, shuttle buses, or limousines on designated local routes, ensuring compliance with all state transportation regulations. Deliver goods or passengers efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients to confirm pick-up and drop-off details. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, adapt to traffic conditions, and meet delivery or schedule deadlines. Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to keep your vehicle in top condition. Assist passengers or clients with boarding, alighting, and handling heavy or bulky items with proper manual handling techniques. Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and address any route or service issues promptly. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, limousine chauffeur, or in medical transportation roles. Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to ensure timely arrivals. Familiarity with passenger vehicle operation including passenger vans and paratransit vehicles. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and state transportation regulations. Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities to enhance client satisfaction. Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling when necessary for cargo or equipment loading/unloading. Experience in vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
