Duties Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, limousines, and school buses on designated local routes while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing any inquiries professionally. Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle inspections in compliance with state transportation regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients using GPS navigation systems and two-way radios to coordinate schedules and address route changes promptly. Handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers with mobility needs or loading cargo safely into personal or client vehicles. Follow all safety protocols related to medical transportation, paratransit services, or chauffeur-driven experiences to deliver secure and reliable service. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in similar passenger vehicle operations with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize efficiency and punctuality. Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is highly desirable. Knowledge of state transportation regulations governing commercial driving, including licensing requirements for passenger vehicles such as bus or limousine licenses. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing luggage or mobility aids for passengers with special needs. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with team members. Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and maintenance schedules to ensure vehicle reliability.
