DEVELOPMENT TRAINEE
- Assembly Development Trainee is an entry level position that offers up to one year of classroom and hands-on training. Candidate will receive training on shop safety, mechanical theory, tool usage and the assembly and repair of National Machinery products. The Development Trainee position is not permanent; candidates are expected to complete the National Training school and be promoted to Assembly Trainee within one year. Participate in our one-year training school consisting of both classroom and hands-on training to demonstrate and learn necessary skills Use various power and hand tools to drill, tap, scrape, and cut Use various measuring devices, assembly drawings, prints Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Overnight travel to customer facilities may be required Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Completion of a Vocational school program or proven solid work history Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Self-motivated and can follow instructions Retain training and information to be able to repeat duties without supervision Must be quality focused and detail oriented Must be able to actively participate and work in a team environment. Strong mechanical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with computers Valid driver's license and driving record that allows insurability under company's policy for Field Service Ability to obtain a passport for overseas travel for Field Service
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Shop environment, safety-toed shoes and safety glasses required Additional Training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required and provided by National Machinery related to specific tasks Must be able to regularly lift, push & pull loads of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis Work can be strenuous, and includes walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, and pulling (such as on torque wrenches) as well as standing for long periods of time
