Know Your Team:

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more. Responsibilities As a member of the Perioperative Team and under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse and/or an anesthesiologist assists in?the delivery of patient?care to the surgical patients in a safe and organized manner. This position provides registered nurses with support for the delivery of patient care. Provides the anesthesiologist with support for the delivery of patient care in the various locations where anesthesia is provided. This position will be responsible for maintaining supplies and equipment; room turnover; terminal cleaning and provides patient transport and environmental service support as needed. Provide patient transport throughout facility. Environmental service support as needed; includes but is not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash and medical waste removal and supply replenishment. Room turnover and terminal cleaning of rooms Keep all equipment properly labeled, clean and in good repair and restocked as necessary. ?

Qualifications Job Requirements:

High School diploma/GED or equivalent. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements:

Two years experience in a Perioperative Services Assistant position. One year of experience in environmental service support.
