Temporary, full-time job from 10/01/2026 to 06/30/2027. Offered by Santos Rodriguez, 209 Ruth Street, Houma, LA 70364. Work in Galveston County, TX. Hrs. 6:00 am -3:00 pm, Mon-Fri., 40 hrs/wk@ $18.71 per hour in Galveston County TX, paid weekly, less all standard deductions required by law. Hours may vary depending on weather. A single workweek is used in computing the wage due workers. No overtime.
USE NETS, TRAPS, DREDGES OR OTHER EQUIPMENT TO HARVEST AND GATHER OYSTERS FROM OYSTER BOTTOMS AND HAUL ONTO BOAT, PUT IN SACKS, STACK SACKS, UNLOAD SACKS ONTO DOCK, CLEAN BOAT.
Tools, supplies and equipment provided at no cost to workers. No transportation provided daily to-and-from the worksite. No on-the-job training provided. No high school diploma or experience required. Employment guaranteed for a minimum of 3/4 of the workdays of each 12-week period. Employer will reimburse cost of visa, visa processing, border crossing, and related fees, including those mandated by the government, to H-2B workers in the pay period of the first workweek. Employer will reimburse workers for all inbound transportation and daily subsistence costs paid by the workers from the place from which the worker has come to the place of employment, provided the worker completes fifty (50%) percent of the period covered by this job order. Upon completion of the work contract, employer will pay reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence to the place of recruitment, except when the worker will not be returning to the place of recruitment, due to subsequent employment with another employer who agrees to pay such cost, in which case this employer will only pay for the transportation to the next job. The amount of outbound transportation payment will be equal to the most economical and reasonable similar common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. During the last week of the contract time period, at the time the worker receives his final paycheck, employer will advance $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts while traveling back to the place of recruitment.
