We provide local rides, regional transportation, and airport service with an emphasis on reliability, professionalism, and customer service. The Position Sky Island Transit is hiring a dependable part-time weekend driver to serve Fort Huachuca and the Sierra Vista area. This position is expected to start at approximately 20-30 hours per week , primarily covering: Friday evenings Saturdays Sundays Occasional late-night or early-morning airport trips may also be available. Hours may increase toward 40 per week as customer demand grows and based on driver availability and company needs. Additional hours are not guaranteed. Responsibilities Safely transport passengers on and off Fort Huachuca and throughout the surrounding area Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service Communicate clearly with the owner or dispatcher Follow traffic laws, Fort Huachuca regulations, safety requirements, and company procedures Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, fueled, and ready for service Complete routine pre-shift vehicle inspections Be punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts Assist with regional and airport transportation when available Qualifications Valid driver's license Good driving record Ability to meet applicable background-check, insurance, licensing, and Fort Huachuca access requirements Dependable, honest, and professional attitude Strong commitment to passenger safety Ability to work independently and communicate effectively Availability Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays Flexibility for occasional late-night or early-morning airport trips Prior professional driving or customer-service experience is helpful Prior military service is a plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits of the Role Sky Island Transit offers a competitive hourly rate appropriate for evening and weekend work , along with opportunities for tips and a performance-based bonus tied to vehicle performance. Sky Island Transit provides the company vehicle, fuel, commercial insurance, and operating expenses.
