Delivery Driver and Catering Assistant Location:

Monterey and Santa Clara County, California Gourmet Central Bake House is seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join our team as seasonal Delivery Drivers and Catering Assistants.

Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently deliver food to various fields and housing locations along Monterey, San Benito and Santa Clara counties. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times. Ensure timely delivery of meals according to the designated schedule. Assist in catering setup at different locations, including serving meals in a professional and courteous manner. Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate delivery routes and catering events. Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and address any inquiries or concerns promptly. Verify meal counts and specific dietary requirements for each location prior to departure. Handle loading and unloading of insulated food containers with care to maintain food temperature and presentation. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and documentation of deliveries. Coordinate with the kitchen team to resolve any lastminute changes or special instructions. Uphold confidentiality and respect when delivering meals to labor housing facilities. Support the kitchen or catering team during idle periods, including basic prep, packaging, or cleaning duties.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and follow traffic laws and regulations. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to lift and carry items of moderate weight (60 lbs). Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Previous experience in food delivery, catering, or customer service is preferred but not required.
