Dairy Delivery Driver & Flexible Farm Assistant Ebert Family Farm - Byers, Colorado Part-time | Tuesdays and Fridays | Approximately 18-24 hours per week Additional seasonal hours may be available This is a demanding, hands-on delivery position—not a job where most of the day is spent sitting and driving. The route involves repeatedly loading, unloading, maneuvering, and delivering heavy milk coolers at multiple stops. Loaded coolers can weigh approximately 150 pounds. A commercial dolly is provided, but the driver must be able to safely tilt coolers onto the dolly, control them on ramps and uneven surfaces, move them through delivery locations, and load and unload products throughout a long workday. Primary Responsibilities
Load the delivery van with milk coolers, crates, dairy products, meat, and customer orders.
Safely maneuver loaded milk coolers weighing up to approximately 150 pounds using a dolly.
Repeatedly push, pull, tilt, stabilize, and control heavy loads.
Navigate ramps, curbs, doorways, uneven ground, and occasional stairs.
Drive an established Denver-area delivery route.
Make accurate deliveries to homes and pickup locations.
Collect empty coolers, jars, crates, and returned products.
Verify deliveries and returns against route sheets.
Keep the cargo van, dollies, coolers, crates, and delivery equipment clean.
Perform strenuous physical work throughout an 8-12-hour delivery day.
Safely control coolers weighing approximately 150 pounds with a dolly.
Frequently lift and carry individual products and crates weighing up to 50 pounds.
Repeatedly climb in and out of a cargo van.
Bend, reach, push, pull, twist, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Work safely in heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, and icy conditions.
Maintain control of heavy loads without damaging products, property, or yourself.
Applicants should not apply if they are looking for a primarily driving-based position or light-duty work. Additional Farm Hours Additional work may be available during busy seasons, employee vacations, calving seasons, and special projects. During slower periods, the position may remain close to the two regular delivery days.
Washing jars, coolers, crates, and dairy equipment.
Bottling and packing dairy products.
Feeding livestock and assisting with basic animal care.
Cleaning barns, equipment, and work areas.
Helping during calving seasons and with seasonal farm projects. The Right Person Will Be
Highly dependable and consistently punctual.
Physically capable of demanding delivery work.
Careful and safety-minded when handling heavy loads.
Comfortable driving a cargo van in Denver traffic and winter conditions.
Organized and able to check their own work.
Able to work independently without constant supervision.
Friendly and professional with customers.
Willing to clean thoroughly rather than leave cleanup for someone else.
Available for both scheduled delivery days every week.
Flexible enough to occasionally work additional hours. Requirements
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Reliable transportation to the farm near Byers.
Ability to use a smartphone for navigation and communication.
Ability to pass a driving-record check.
Ability to provide dependable work references.
Availability on both Tuesdays and Fridays. Typical Schedule
Tuesday:
approximately 8-12 hours.
Friday:
approximately 8-12 hours.
Optional additional farm hours depending on the season, farm needs, and applicant availability.
Routes may run longer because of weather, traffic, order volume, or delivery changes. Applicants must be able to complete the route rather than leave at a fixed time before the work is finished. Compensation $21-$24 per hour, depending on relevant experience, driving history, dependability, physical capability, and willingness to perform additional farm work. Paid training is provided.
