Overview The chef of the Anchorage Grill is moving on and we are looking for a new chef/operator. Anchorage grill is a stationary food truck with waterfront views and is accessible by boat or car. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food, managing customer orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality at all times Operate POS system Toast to process sales accurately and efficiently Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer experience Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck's kitchen area, including proper handling of food and kitchen equipment Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures Assist with setup, breakdown, and daily maintenance of the food truck to ensure smooth operations throughout service hours Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast, Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to upsell menu items confidently Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience with cashiering, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean workspace in a retail or restaurant setting Embark on an exciting journey where your culinary talent meets lively community engagement!
