Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dependable Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting products to our customers while providing exceptional service that builds lasting relationships. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Inspect delivery vehicle before and after each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Report delivery issues, shortages, damaged products, or customer concerns promptly. Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive bakery products. Follow established delivery routes while adapting to traffic and weather conditions when necessary. Comply with all company safety, food safety, sanitation, and DOT regulations (where applicable). Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers. Practice safe lifting techniques while handling bakery trays, racks, and boxes. Deliver products promptly to retail stores and other designated locations while maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal routes, ensuring timely arrivals, and adjusting plans as needed for traffic or unforeseen delays.. Maintain organized records of deliveries, route logs, and compliance with DOT regulations; report any issues or incidents immediately. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation with a clean driving record. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Familiarity with DOT regulations, route driving logistics, and organizational skills for efficient delivery operations. Ability to work overnight/night shifts consistently. Strong knowledge of safe driving practices. Excellent punctuality and reliability. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards. Must pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check (if required).
