Job Description

Job Goal:
The primary goal of the Delivery & Community Specialist is to enhance programming within the West40 Heart 2 Heart Program community by providing reliable, compassionate, and efficient delivery and support services; Build and maintain positive relationships with community members through respectful and caring interactions, embodying the organization's mission of empathy and support; Actively contribute to the broader goals of the Community Resource Team, assisting in various activities and events that strengthen community relationships and provide needed services.

Preferred prior experience in delivery or community support roles.
Requirements:
High School Diploma and equivalent work experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance. Travel within and outside the West40 Region will be required. Valid driver's license with a clean record. Work in standard office and school building environments with the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, and others contacted in the course of work. Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, reach high and low, stoop, and walk around up to 95% of the day. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. Capable of safely lifting 50 pounds regularly and heavier lifting as necessary. Must be able to pass a mandatory Illinois State and FBI criminal background check, and mandatory Faith's Law employer history review
Performance Responsibilities:
Perform pick up and delivery of food and other resources with a commitment to meeting community members, students, and staff where they are, both physically and emotionally Engage with community members and donors during pick-ups and deliveries, through excellent service and genuine care. Safely operate and maintain delivery vehicles, ensuring reliability and trustworthiness in all interactions. Receives deliveries and assists in unloading trucks and storing supplies. Delivers supplies and other resources internally as well as to external partners. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
