We work hard, have fun, and help our community while earning a paycheck. We're seeking professional delivery drivers to help make our donors and customers happy on the route and in the store! The Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a home-improvement thrift store that benefits Habitat for Humanity's mission! We specialize in donations of furniture, appliances, household goods, and building materials. You'll pick up household donations, bring them to the store, and get them ready for sale by cleaning, pricing, and merchandising. All associates work in the store along with driving the donation truck.

Job Duties:

Store Responsibilities (All Associates) Be the face of Habitat by providing friendly and professional customer service to all donors and customers Screen drop-off donations based on condition and politely decline items that don't align with our mission Help hand-unload donations from donor vehicles and from the Habitat donation box-trucks Process donations by cleaning, researching, and determining the 'right' price for each item Merchandise product by displaying it in the proper location with appropriate signage Additional Truck Responsibilities Safely drive 16ft box truck around Indianapolis and neighboring counties Verify the condition of the donations and politely decline items that don't align with our mission Move furniture, appliances, and more out of donors' homes and load onto the truck Communicate with the store manager and donation coordinator about results of the pickup

We offer a full-time (40 hours/5 days a week) schedule. There is little to no overtime.

Set Schedule:

8-hour shift between the hours of 9:30am

• 7pm, Tuesday
• Saturday. Days off are Sunday + Monday. Job variety
• Every day is different here because each donation is unique!

In the store, you'll learn about our business operations by assisting with drop-off donations, pricing and merchandising donations, collaborating with your teammates, and providing customer service. Some days you'll drive the truck, other days you'll help as a rider, or work in the store. Or you could do all three in one day! Reasonable workload & no crazy quotas This is a physical job that involves heavy lifting to move furniture, but we aim for a reasonable pace of work. We send out a team of two (driver + helper) for our pickups and provide all the moving equipment you need to stay safe. You'll make about 6-8 local stops per day when on the truck and work at an engaged pace when in the store. Help your community and earn a paycheck! Qualifications:

Be at least 18 years old Have a valid driver's license (No CDL required) and pass a driving record check No convictions of theft, violence, or sexual assault in the last 10 years 2+ years of in-person customer service experience (retail, food service, etc) 1+ years of relevant driving experience (box trucks, step vans, UPS, Amazon, FedEx, etc.) Other relevant experience: completing local routes, loading/unloading your own truck, assembling furniture, working in client homes/businesses. Delivery jobs using your own vehicle like DoorDash, Uber, or patient/medical transport will not be considered relevant driving experience. Be a flexible, self-starter with strong initiative and love to learn new things Able to maintain a polite, professional demeanor while completing strenuous physical tasks, keeping the route on schedule, and managing changing priorities.
