Job Description

The City of Frankfort is seeking a part-time Transit Driver to join our team at our new facility. Under general supervision, this position operates a City passenger vehicle following designated routes, time schedules, or demand-response ADA routing while ensuring passenger safety.

Key responsibilities include:

Driving buses within City limits and occasionally transporting passengers on special tours.
Ensuring the safe and clean operating condition of the vehicle, checking key components daily, and reporting maintenance issues.
Promptly reporting accidents, unusual activities, or complaints to supervisors.
Collecting tickets, recording passenger counts, and maintaining accurate activity logs.
Observing all speed limits, traffic laws, and safety regulations.

Position Details:

80-100 hours per month (approximately 20 hours per week).
Hours vary between 6:00 AM-6:45 PM Monday through Friday, and 8:15 AM-3:45 PM on Saturdays.

Saturdays and some holidays are expected.
