Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Follow planned delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to ensure timely arrivals. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with safe lifting practices, often involving heavy lifting. Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing their needs and building positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing the customer experience and sales outcomes. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and adhere to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for safety and compliance. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of driving safety practices, DOT regulations, and route navigation skills. Basic math skills for pricing calculations, inventory counts, and transaction handling. Proven ability in customer relationship building through excellent communication skills and client interaction. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks regularly. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation.
