$15.10/hour while actively working + mileage reimbursement + portion of delivery fees + 100% of tips We are looking for a dependable, professional On-Call Delivery Driver to assist with customer deliveries as needed. This is an on-call position designed for someone looking for flexible, supplemental income. Drivers are generally free to go about their normal activities while on call and will be contacted when a delivery is available. Compensation Drivers receive multiple forms of compensation: $15.10 per hour while actively working Mileage reimbursement for eligible delivery mileage 60% of the delivery fee collected on completed deliveries 100% of customer tips No hourly wages are paid for periods when the driver is completely relieved of duties and simply available to accept future delivery assignments, to the extent permitted by applicable wage-and-hour law. Compensable working time begins when the employee is required to begin performing work for an accepted delivery assignment and includes required pickup, delivery, and other work-related duties. Responsibilities Accept delivery assignments when available Pick up and safely transport customer orders Deliver orders promptly and professionally Verify customer information and identification when required Follow all company delivery, security, cash-handling, and recordkeeping procedures Maintain accurate mileage and delivery records Communicate with the store regarding delivery status Maintain a clean, reliable, legally registered and insured vehicle Follow all applicable Maine laws and regulations Requirements Valid driver's license Valid OCP License Reliable personal vehicle Current vehicle registration and insurance Clean and safe driving record Reliable cell phone Dependable and responsive when accepting an assignment Ability to safely handle cash and customer transactions Professional and friendly customer service Must meet all age, licensing, background-check, and other requirements applicable to the products being delivered Schedule This is an on-call, as-needed position . Delivery volume will vary from day to day. Being listed as available does not necessarily mean you will be continuously working. Drivers may accept available assignments according to company scheduling procedures. Once an assignment is accepted, the driver is expected to complete it promptly and follow all company procedures. Example Earnings A completed delivery may include: Hourly Pay + Mileage Reimbursement + Portion of Delivery Fee + 100% of Customer Tip This structure gives drivers the opportunity to earn more per delivery while maintaining a flexible on-call schedule.
