Furniture/Appliance Delivery & Collections Specialist Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Furniture Delivery & Collections Specialist to join our team. This position combines furniture delivery, customer service, account support, and collections responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with customers in a variety of situations, including delivering rental merchandise, collecting payments, and recovering rental furniture from customer accounts when necessary. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to safely handle furniture and appliances on a daily basis. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Customer Service Safely operate company vehicles to deliver rental furniture, appliances, and household merchandise. Load, unload, and transport merchandise while ensuring products arrive in excellent condition. Set up and place merchandise within customer homes as needed. Provide professional and courteous customer service during every customer interaction. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Collections & Account Support Collect outstanding payments from customers on assigned accounts. Communicate professionally with customers regarding account balances and payment arrangements. Recover rental furniture and merchandise from delinquent accounts when required. Document account activity and collection efforts accurately. Work closely with management to resolve customer account issues. Warehouse & Operations Support Assist with inventory organization and warehouse maintenance. Prepare merchandise for delivery and pickup. Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, warehouse space, and showroom areas. Support additional operational duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift, move, and transport furniture, appliances, and merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds or more on a regular basis. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage daily routes efficiently. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Delivery driving experience. Furniture, appliance, or rent-to-own industry experience. Collections or account recovery experience. Experience operating hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, or similar equipment.
