Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques to prevent injury, including heavy lifting when necessary. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or retail store delivery roles is preferred. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper safety protocols. Familiarity with DOT regulations, automobile transportation standards, and commercial truck driving requirements. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in customer relationship building and sales is a plus.
