Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building strong relationships through excellent customer service skills. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with all safety standards. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing deliveries for maximum efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving, with a valid driver's license suitable for operating commercial vehicles or automobiles. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and retail store operations is a plus. Basic math skills for calculating delivery totals, change handling, and route planning. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operation is highly desirable. Prior experience in customer relationship building and sales is advantageous. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
