Find & Apply For Sales Delivery Driver Jobs in Vestal, New York

I need delivery drivers that are willing to go a little longer distance than the average delivery driver. You will be delivering medication from a ​pharmacy in Vestal NY to nursing homes all over New York State. My immediate need is for one or two drivers that are willing to do fill-in work, cover other driver's vacations, and if I call you at 1:00 in the morning, It's because I have something available immediately because somebody called off and these deliveries have to go, no excuses. This position will turn into full-time 5 or 6 days a week within a month, 2 months at the very most... So if that also interests you, by all means understand it will happen. Once you've proven yourself, you will get routes more often.. The following criteria should be considered before you apply for this.

• do you have a dependable vehicle. I ask this because you will be using your own vehicle for this job.
• do you live in the Vestal/ Binghamton area because your first stop and your last stop will be a ​pharmacy in Vestal. If you live 25 mi away from the pharmacy, you will still have to go back to the pharmacy after your last delivery & before driving home.
• are you at least 21 years old
• are you willing to drive in all kinds of weather including snow.
• are you dependable? If you accept this job you cannot call off at the last minute. We are not delivering toys from Walmart and some poor kid isn't going to get his Lego set for an extra day. This is medication and people are relying on you to deliver on time.
• can you work weekends and holidays? You may not need to work every weekend but some of them will be required.
• are you willing to drive between 300 and 400 miles per day? Possibly even a bit further.
• I'm going to mention this one again because it gets overlooked sometimes, but you will be using your own vehicle.

In addition to this you will be purchasing your own gas and doing your own repairs if need be. This is not your typical delivery job. You will not be asked to look for and hunt down 45 different addresses to make these deliveries. We are not like Amazon prime or doordash. A typical route with us will have you stopping at between 3 and 7 separate addresses. These will be easy to find, usually a pretty good sized building, with a big sign out front. Unlike other delivery jobs, you will be required to get a signature for everything you deliver. There will be no dropping things off on a random porch, taking a picture and walking away. You will be classified as an independent contractor and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year. You do not need to have your own LLC... you will be subcontracting under mine, unless of course you have one in which case let me know, as your paperwork will be a bit different. All of our routes pay a flat rate based on mileage and number of stops, except for stat deliveries which pay $1.05 per mile. None of the routes pay by the hour, however if you do the math, move right along without wasting time, and get it done, for the amount of time it takes you to finish a route compared to the amount of money that you will put in your pocket, you will make between $22 and $26 an hour. At this time I am primarily looking for drivers that are available to leave the pharmacy around 1:30 in the morning Tuesday through Saturday, and weekends at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m..
