Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL A Driver to safely deliver food and related products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers. Based from our distribution facility, you will operate late-model tractors and refrigerated trailers, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and handle product using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates. Responsibilities include accurate loading, unloading, and verification of orders, maintaining DOT-compliant logs, and following all safety and food handling standards. You'll provide courteous, professional service at each stop, represent PFG's safety-first, performance-driven culture, and support route efficiency by communicating issues, delays, or customer concerns. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers to deliver food and related products to commercial customers on assigned routes Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards Load, unload, and verify products using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates while protecting product integrity Maintain accurate, DOT-compliant driver logs and delivery documentation using electronic or paper systems Follow all safety, traffic, and food handling regulations, including temperature control and product security Provide professional, courteous customer service at each stop and address basic delivery issues or questions Report vehicle defects, route delays, accidents, or safety concerns promptly to dispatch or supervision Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage and ensure safe operation in all driving conditions Support route efficiency by following planned sequences and communicating improvement opportunities Demonstrate PFG's values of safety, teamwork, and integrity while representing the company at customer locations Required Skills CDL A truck operation DOT safety compliance Route planning and navigation Vehicle inspection and maintenance checks Back-up and docking maneuvers Load securement and handling Use of pallet jacks and hand trucks Time management on delivery routes Electronic logs and delivery documentation Customer service and issue resolution
