Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination while maintaining accurate delivery logs. Load and unload merchandise, often involving heavy lifting and merchandising tasks, with attention to safe lifting practices. Build strong customer relationships through professional communication, addressing client needs, answering questions, and providing exceptional service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance. Organize deliveries in a manner that maximizes route efficiency while keeping accurate documentation of all deliveries. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation; retail store experience is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow proper safety protocols during loading/unloading processes. Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial truck driving requirements is highly desirable. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving preferred. Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules or routes while maintaining high standards of customer service.
