Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Catering Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting catering orders to various event locations, ensuring timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service. This position also involves catering and event-support responsibilities , including assisting with setup, arranging food and catering equipment, maintaining presentation standards, and supporting the catering team as needed. Your role is vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability, professionalism, and exceptional service. Responsibilities Delivery & Transportation Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver catering orders to clients at multiple locations. Load and unload catering food, supplies, equipment, and other event materials using proper manual handling techniques and material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts when necessary. Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations and applicable DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Ensure accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon delivery completion. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm deliveries and update schedules. Catering Event Support Assist with basic catering setup at event locations, including tables, food stations, serving equipment, beverage stations, and other catering-related items. Help unload and organize food, beverages, serving ware, equipment, and supplies according to event requirements. Assist catering staff with arranging buffet lines, displays, and service areas while maintaining a clean and professional presentation. Provide basic support during events as directed by the catering captain, manager, or event lead. Replenish food, beverages, serving supplies, and other items as needed during events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of catering areas throughout setup, service, and breakdown. Assist with event breakdown, including packing equipment, clearing service areas, loading vehicles, and returning supplies to the appropriate locations. Interact professionally with clients, venue staff, guests, and fellow team members while representing G-Texas Catering. Follow all company procedures regarding food handling, sanitation, safety, and presentation. Assist with warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including moving supplies, cleaning equipment, and organizing inventory. Experience & Qualifications Prior delivery driver experience, preferably within the catering, hospitality, or food service industry. Previous catering, event setup, banquet, hospitality, or food-service experience is a plus. Warehouse experience, including manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver's license for box trucks or commercial vehicles; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and proper weight handling in the workplace. Familiarity with route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations for commercial vehicle operation. Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload catering equipment and supplies. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and excellent communication abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing event needs. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
