Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a FedEx ground delivery position. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to designated locations. This is a vital role in our company, as you will be the face of our organization when interacting with customers.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a step van
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Use GPS or maps to navigate to destinations
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle's condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Collect payments for goods delivered, if required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role
- Familiarity with using GPS or navigation systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy items and load/unload
