The company operates Agronomy, Propane, Refined Fuels and Wholesale divisions as well as retail Country Store locations in Washington and Montana. We are seeking a qualified CDL driver to locally deliver bulk propane in North Snohomish County among the communities of Arlington, Smokey Point, Stanwood and adjacent rural areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Job responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Safely operate a propane bobtail to safely deliver propane to residential, commercial and industrial customers. Perform required DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and conduct routine vehicle safety checks to ensure compliance and safe operation. Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading and transferring propane to prevent overfills, releases or contamination. Accurately evaluate customer propane usage and complete billing procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Respond promptly to out-of-gas calls and follow established emergency and service procedures. Evaluate delivery locations for hazards (access issues, obstacles, ignition sources) and take appropriate precautions. Identify mechanical or operational issues with vehicles or equipment and report them promptly for maintenance. Deliver a high level of customer service through professional, courteous and responsive interactions. Maintain a safe and clean working environment and equipment while adhering to OSHA, state and federal safety regulations. Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships. Practice punctual and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent. Be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate. Possess a safe and insurable driving record, maintained throughout employment. Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable. Lift, carry, push, pull & load up to 60 pounds. Navigate uneven terrain, around corners, through gates, etc. Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Accurately follow directions verbally, written and on maps.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possess CDL tanker and hazardous materials endorsements (required to obtain if hired). Previous experience operating commercial vehicles with a DOT-regulated employer, preferably a propane bobtail or other petroleum delivery vehicle.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, 40+ hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand and inclement weather (generally winter).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$27.00 - $32.00/hour.
