Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Equipment Transport Specialist with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment, vehicles, and materials across the Phoenix area, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all safety regulations. Your expertise in operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and lowboys will keep our logistics moving smoothly. This position requires the loading and unloading of heavy equipment, experience with loaders and excavators is a major plus. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks and lowboys, across over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload equipment and ensure cargo is secured properly for transit.. Utilize GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries and pickups. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or safety concerns. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license. Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks safely. Prior experience handling logistics cargo including freight, heavy equipment and off road material loading and unloading. Knowledge of route planning using GPS navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency. Understanding of DOT regulations related to trucking operations, load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading safety protocols, and hazardous materials handling.
