Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route driving, and vehicle operation will be vital in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence. If you thrive on active driving, manual handling, and navigating complex routes using GPS navigation systems, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods, following proper procedures for truck loading and unloading. Transport a variety of cargo types such as refrigerated goods, freight requiring flatbed or tanker configurations, and automobile transportation. Use GPS navigation to plan efficient routes, monitor delivery progress, and adapt to changing traffic conditions to meet delivery schedules. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Demonstrated ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks efficiently and safely. Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for long-distance OTR driving routes. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and safe manual handling procedures for dangerous goods. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight loading/unloading and route driving is highly desirable. Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
