Job Description

Position Summary HYPER Professional Equipment Resource, Inc. is seeking dependable and motivated Chase Truck / Swamper Drivers to support wildland fire response, forestry operations, and heavy civil construction projects throughout Northern California. This position is essential to keeping field operations running efficiently by supporting equipment transport crews, assisting with mobilization and demobilization, hauling tools and supplies, and ensuring equipment and personnel are ready for deployment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, adaptable, and willing to work in demanding outdoor environments during emergency response operations. Core Responsibilities Operate company chase trucks and support vehicles safely in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies. Escort heavy equipment transport vehicles to and from project sites and wildfire incidents when assigned. Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and staging equipment, tools, and materials. Deliver fuel, supplies, and equipment to active job sites and emergency response locations. Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete required inspection reports and documentation. Maintain clean, organized, and mission-ready support vehicles. Coordinate with dispatchers, transport drivers, operators, and field supervisors to support project operations. Assist with equipment checks, jobsite setup, and general field support as needed. Communicate professionally with clients, public agencies, and fellow team members. Support wildfire mobilizations, including extended shifts, nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required. Required Qualifications Valid California Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required). Clean driving record. Previous experience operating pickup trucks, support vehicles, trailers, or construction equipment preferred. Experience in construction, forestry, wildfire support, or heavy equipment operations is an asset. Ability to safely tow and maneuver trailers is preferred. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Work Environment & Expectations This position requires working outdoors in rugged terrain, construction sites, forestry operations, and active wildfire environments throughout Northern California.

Pay:
$2,110.97 - $2,542.25 per week
